Introduction

Generic Map Generator is a FREE online resource that provides various tools and functions based on a map interface. The main purpose is to allow you to input various data types, process and modify them on the map, then export using one or more export options.

Getting Started

A simple beginner guide to get started. Having Google Earth installed will help show your results.

  1. Click on Drawing Tools to expand that section
    2. Expand Drawing Tools
  2. Click on Place Markers
    3. Place Markers Button
  3. Click anywhere on the map to place a marker
    4. Place Marker On Map
  4. Click on the a marker to open it's options
    5. Edit Marker
  5. Add some text
    6. Add Text To Marker
  6. Click Apply
    7. Apply Button
  7. Click Export Data to expand that section
    8. Expand Export Data
  8. Click the [Save KML File] button
    9. Click Save KML File button
  9. Click Download Your KML file
    10. Save Your KML file
  10. Either save the KML file or open it in Google Earth to see your marker
